Job Requirements
- must be at least 18 years of age
- ability to stand walk and move throughout the club for the duration of the shift
- frequent bending lifting twisting and reaching while performing cleaning duties
- capability to lift and carry items weighing up to 75 lbs when needed
- regular exposure to cleaning products and sanitizing agents in a controlled environment
- frequent communication with members and coworkers both in person and by phone
Job Qualifications
- previous experience in cleaning janitorial or facility maintenance preferred but not required
- basic computer literacy and the ability to learn new software as needed
- willingness to complete CPR/AED certification training provided by Planet Fitness
- reliable professional and detail-oriented with a consistently positive and respectful attitude
Job Duties
- clean and sanitize all areas of the club including restrooms locker rooms fitness equipment and the Black Card Spa
- vacuum carpets mop floors and operate the floor scrubber following the established cleaning schedule
- empty trash bins replace liners and maintain cleanliness throughout all waste disposal areas
- replenish cleaning materials paper products and toiletries as needed and inform management of supply shortages
- dust and wipe down high surfaces such as ceiling fans TVs and light fixtures
- report any broken or missing items equipment malfunctions or maintenance issues to the Club Manager promptly
- operate washers and dryers to clean towels and other materials used during daily operations
- inspect and care for cleaning tools and equipment to ensure proper performance and longevity
- perform routine walkthroughs to confirm that all areas meet company cleanliness and safety standards
- provide a friendly greeting to members and guests upon entering or leaving the club
- assist with incoming calls and member questions in a professional courteous manner
- support front desk operations by processing transactions accurately and promoting club offerings
- address member concerns quickly and escalate issues to management when necessary
