Job Requirements
- Knowledge of standard cleaning methods, materials, and safety rules
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive motion for extended periods
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and climb stairs as required
- Effective communication skills and teamwork orientation
- Familiarity with custodial tools and power equipment (vacuums, buffers, etc.)
- Ability to mix and apply cleaning chemicals according to guidelines
- Awareness of occupational hazards and ability to work safely
Job Qualifications
- Experience in custodial work preferred but not required
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
Job Duties
- Maintaining clean and orderly facilities through routine and deep cleaning
- Performing daily custodial tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and scrubbing floors
- Cleaning and sanitizing restrooms
- restocking supplies
- Dusting furniture, walls, and other surfaces
- Cleaning windows, mirrors, and partitions using approved chemicals
- Emptying trash and removing waste from assigned areas daily
- Shampooing or steam-cleaning carpets and rugs
- Polishing and maintaining building fixtures
- Handling cleaning solutions and chemicals safely in accordance with instructions
- Using power cleaning equipment such as vacuums and floor buffers
- Following all safety protocols and hazard prevention guidelines
- Managing inventory and informing supervisors of supply needs or maintenance issues
- Performing additional custodial tasks as assigned
