Job Requirements

  • Cert III or IV in Commercial Cookery (non-trade) or armed forces cook qualification
  • Experience cooking for large groups in a commercial kitchen
  • Leadership skills
  • Strong communication and time management abilities
  • Commitment to food safety, hygiene, and compliance
  • Genuine desire to work with older people

Job Duties

  • Prepare meals for residents according to dietary requirements and menu plans
  • Support the Chef Manager in daily kitchen operations
  • Guide and supervise kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow
  • Maintain food safety and hygiene standards at all times
  • Coordinate kitchen activities to ensure timely meal service
  • Assist with inventory control and ordering supplies
  • Contribute to creating a positive and collaborative kitchen environment
