Job Requirements
- high school diploma or GED preferred
- ability to work varied work schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidays
- ability to work productively under general supervision
- ability to coordinate multiple projects and meet deadlines
- ability to follow established policies and procedures
- ability to maintain confidentiality
- must be people and community oriented
- must have CPR and First Aid certificate
- must have Indiana Public Passengers Chauffeurs License
- must have NYSCA Clinician Certification
Job Qualifications
- minimum of a high school diploma or GED preferred
- ability to be self-motivated
- ability to follow both verbal and written instructions
- knowledge of sports, recreational games and arts and crafts
- ability to plan and organize activities
- ability to maintain discipline and supervise participants of all ages
- community oriented with strong oral and written communication skills
- ability to obtain officials certification for recreation sports and crafts
- CPR and First Aid certification
- Indiana Public Passengers Chauffeurs License
- NYSCA Clinician Certification
Job Duties
- assist in development, planning, directing, implementation and coordinating a wide variety of recreational events
- follow established policies and procedures
- complete reports, inspections, and evaluations based on established guidelines
- use software and technology platforms to organize, document, track, and monitor work
- deliver excellent customer service and establish professional rapport with park users
- initiate new sports, aquatics, and recreation programs
- support and assist customers during sports, recreational, arts, fitness, and aquatic activities
