Job Requirements
- Valid driver’s license preferred
- Dependable transportation preferred
- Physical capability to walk around the property including stairs
- Ability to lift heavy items regularly
- Prior property maintenance experience
- Own set of maintenance tools required
Job Qualifications
- Property maintenance experience preferred
- General working knowledge of plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and carpentry
- Ability to work well with supervisors, residents, vendors and co-workers
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks
- Reliable and punctual
- Own tools required
Job Duties
- Working with directors in managing all maintenance-related and capital improvement activities within an assigned property
- Inspecting, scheduling and performing routine preventive maintenance on all appropriate equipment as necessary or as directed by the directors
- Capable of dealing effectively with supervisors, residents, vendors and co-workers
- Satisfying work orders promptly and efficiently
- Working knowledge of HVAC systems and various appliances such as stoves, dishwashers, disposals, and refrigerators
- Some familiarity with electricity, plumbing, and carpentry
- Inspecting, scheduling and performing routine preventative maintenance on all PTAC units as necessary or as directed by the community director or facilities director
- Assist in the make ready process of vacant apartments to get them ready for new move-ins in a timely and detail-oriented manner
