Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent work experience required
  • 1+ year of day porter, janitor, or facilities assistant experience strongly desired
  • knowledge and full understanding of general aspects of day porter position
  • experience utilizing ticketing system
  • ability to lift up to 30 lbs and perform physical tasks such as walking, bending, and standing for an extended period of time
  • strong written and verbal communication skills
  • proven ability to follow direction with strong attention to detail
  • self-driven with the ability to work independently with supervision

Job Duties

  • maintains work areas of offices to keep them clean and orderly
  • uses janitorial supplies and dispose of waste material according to company guidelines
  • performs special cleaning projects as assigned or to fulfill facilities ticket request
  • perform multiple times daily cleaning and sanitizing duties
  • duties will occasionally include dusting, sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and vacuuming
  • ensure equipment is cleaned and stored appropriately following use
  • replenish products and supplies in assigned area including breakroom, copy rooms and periodically bathrooms
  • alert appropriate personnel concerning the need for repairs and/or additions to building operating systems
  • maintain a clean and well-organized supply room and communicate to manager low inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment
  • remove and dispose of debris and/or trash
  • may perform basic maintenance and repair duties, including office furniture
  • carry out and assist with ticket requests for meeting room setups/teardown and light furniture rearrangement
  • support special events, office moves, or vendor coordination as directed
  • entry-level support role
  • performs routine tasks as directed and under close supervision
