Job Requirements

  • At least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to GS-06 grade level in federal service or equivalent experience in private or public sector
  • Knowledge of marine berthing facilities, operations, regulations, and procedures
  • Ability to assist harbor pilots with the proper berthing of ships
  • Capability to act as liaison between Berthing Services Officer and fleet units
  • Experience serving as pier safety representative to supervise hazardous materials handling
  • No education qualification requirement

Job Duties

  • Demonstrate knowledge of marine berthing facilities, operations, regulations, and procedures
  • Coordinate and communicate operational details to ensure safe and efficient marine facility management
