  • ability to perform custodial work
  • ability to operate labor saving devices
  • ability to do heavy lifting and climb ladders
  • ability to follow instructions in English
  • ability to work well with others
  • computer skills as required

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to complete the Basic Facilities Service job related training program
  • ability to perform custodial work
  • ability to operate labor saving devices such as floor scrubbers and vacuums
  • ability to lift heavy objects and climb ladders
  • ability to follow written and oral instructions in English
  • ability to work well with others
  • computer skills as required
  • standard high school diploma or GED preferred
  • two years of experience as a facilities serviceperson aide preferred
  • bilingual skills preferred

Job Duties

  • Clean all assigned areas according to custodial standards
  • empty trash and dispose of properly
  • sweep, mop, brush, vacuum, strip and wax floors
  • perform heavy lifting including moving garbage cans and equipment
  • wash and sanitize restroom facilities and replenish supplies
  • replace light bulbs and clean fixtures
  • dust, wash and wax furniture
  • operate heavy cleaning equipment
  • change air conditioning filters and clean vents
  • maintain and lubricate cleaning equipment
  • assist in unloading and storing supplies
  • report maintenance or equipment problems
  • practice safety continuously
  • complete projects with proper documentation
  • participate in training programs
  • comply with equal employment and non-discrimination policies
  • follow federal, state, and School Board regulations
  • perform other duties as assigned
