- ability to perform custodial work
- ability to operate labor-saving devices such as shampoo machines and vacuums

Job Duties
- Clean all assigned areas including cafeteria, restrooms, offices, gymnasium, halls, and outside areas
- empty trash containers and properly dispose of debris
- sweep, mop, brush, vacuum, strip and wax floors and building surfaces
- perform heavy lifting such as moving garbage cans and compactor bags
- wash and sanitize restroom facilities and replenish supplies
- replace light bulbs and clean fixtures
- dust, wipe, wash and wax furniture and perform minor repairs
- operate heavy equipment like floor strippers and vacuums
- change air conditioning filters and clean vents
- maintain and lubricate equipment
- assist with receiving and storing supplies and furniture
- report needed supplies and maintenance issues to supervisor
- ensure safety practices and compliance with regulations
- complete projects with accurate recording of time and materials
- participate in training programs to enhance skills
