Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in a related role
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- ability to train and lead a team
- strong communication skills
- physical ability to perform cleaning and maintenance tasks
- willingness to adhere to safety policies and procedures
Job Qualifications
- Demonstrated expertise in a similar role
- ability to exercise considerable judgment based on previous experience to solve problems
- able to work independently and as part of a team
- may act as an informed resource for those with less experience
- required to gain extensive knowledge of the proper use and cleaning techniques for kitchen equipment including steamers, ovens, mixers, grills, and dishwashing equipment
- demonstrates thorough understanding of basic sanitation procedures
Job Duties
- Train and guide utility staff on job duties and proper safety and sanitation procedures
- ensure guest satisfaction by maintaining all dishes, pots, pans, silverware, glasses, equipment, and kitchen utensils are cleaned and sanitized
- maintain and clean dishwashing stations, three compartment sinks, storerooms, refrigerators, and related areas
- ensure equipment is clean and in working condition
- report any issues to management
- perform other light maintenance and custodial tasks
- maintain excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards guests, customers, clients, and co-workers
