Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience in a related role
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • ability to train and lead a team
  • strong communication skills
  • physical ability to perform cleaning and maintenance tasks
  • willingness to adhere to safety policies and procedures

Job Qualifications

  • Demonstrated expertise in a similar role
  • ability to exercise considerable judgment based on previous experience to solve problems
  • able to work independently and as part of a team
  • may act as an informed resource for those with less experience
  • required to gain extensive knowledge of the proper use and cleaning techniques for kitchen equipment including steamers, ovens, mixers, grills, and dishwashing equipment
  • demonstrates thorough understanding of basic sanitation procedures

Job Duties

  • Train and guide utility staff on job duties and proper safety and sanitation procedures
  • ensure guest satisfaction by maintaining all dishes, pots, pans, silverware, glasses, equipment, and kitchen utensils are cleaned and sanitized
  • maintain and clean dishwashing stations, three compartment sinks, storerooms, refrigerators, and related areas
  • ensure equipment is clean and in working condition
  • report any issues to management
  • perform other light maintenance and custodial tasks
  • maintain excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards guests, customers, clients, and co-workers
