Job Requirements
- Full-time availability, including Wednesdays through Sundays, evenings, and weekends
- night and weekend availability
- motivated self-starter with attention to detail
- physical ability to perform janitorial duties including lifting and ladder work
- strong communication skills
- willingness to participate in team meetings and collaborate with contractors
- ability to respond to emergency situations safely
Job Qualifications
- At least two years of experience in cleaning and maintenance related work
- valid driver’s license
- ability to work off ladders and perform cleaning skills
- capable of lifting up to 50 pounds
- knowledge of basic best practices concerning facilities and janitorial standards
- ability to follow security procedures outlined by Security department
Job Duties
- Set up and tear down daily Museum events
- maintain cleanliness in all Museum areas through daily routine cleaning
- participate in weekly Event Operations Meetings
- initiate event setup and teardown with contractors or clients as per Banquet Event Order
- perform routine upkeep of exterior parking lot and perimeter
- collect garbage and recycling daily across Museum spaces
- communicate recycling and garbage needs during high volume events
- restock and maintain facility and event storage spaces and report repair needs
- identify and perform additional cleaning tasks
- pressure wash exterior spaces, surfaces, and equipment
- assist with ice and snow removal
- respond to biohazard and emergency clean-ups maintaining high safety standards
- practice Museum policies for safety of visitors, artwork, equipment, and property
- other duties as assigned
