Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- No certificates, licenses or registrations required
- Ability to travel as needed
- Ability to perform medium work involving exertion of up to 50 pounds occasionally, up to 30 pounds frequently, and up to 10 pounds constantly
- Ability to comply with infection control and safety procedures

Job Duties
- Cleans rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms and other work areas so that health standards are met
- Cleans floor surfaces, upholstered furniture, and/or draperies using vacuum cleaners, shampooers and/or powered scrubbing and waxing machines
- Empties trash receptacles and cleans and maintains windows, walls, woodwork, and light fixtures
- Recognizes the need for housing maintenance or hazards and submits work order for repair
- Follows universal precautions and strict procedures regarding cleaners, hazardous materials, infection control, isolation, fire, safety and sanitation practices
- Disinfects equipment and supplies using germicides or steam-operated sterilizers
- Observes precautions to protect customer property and reports damage, theft, and found articles to supervisors
- Sorts, counts and marks clothing and other articles, loads washing machines, irons, folds dried items and stores them
- Performs errands such as taking laundry to the cleaners, buying groceries and household supplies and records expenditures
- Prepares rooms for meetings and arranges decorations, media equipment and furniture for social or business functions
- Understands and promotes all rules regarding residents' rights and treats individuals with dignity and respect
- Maintains knowledge of housekeeping standards and performs other related duties as required
