Job Requirements

- Ability to operate standard cleaning equipment
- Ability to communicate effectively with team and supervisors
- Physical ability to perform routine housekeeping tasks

- Ability to follow safety guidelines and instructions

Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in custodial or maintenance work preferred
- Ability to operate standard housekeeping equipment
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Flexibility to respond to varying work demands
- Basic knowledge of safety procedures and protocols
- Physical ability to perform cleaning and maintenance tasks
- Willingness to work during inclement weather if necessary
Job Duties
- Use standard housekeeping equipment, tools and supplies to accomplish basic cleaning tasks such as vacuuming, mopping, scrubbing, dusting, disinfecting, and replenishing to complete assigned responsibilities and job tasks
- Responsible for reporting discrepancies found within the building in addition to responding to emergencies and inclement weather
- Complete assigned projects
- Inventory of assigned area
- Move and reset furniture
- Perform proper routine maintenance on all equipment
- May be required to work during adverse weather conditions to participate in snow/ice removal under the direction of a supervisor
- Other duties as assigned to ensure NC State Student Centers business needs are met
