Job Requirements

  • Equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent education/experience
  • Valid California driver’s license or ability to obtain within 10 days of hire
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends as required
  • Ability to work on campus in San Diego
  • Eligible for overtime compensation
  • Compliance with background check and mandated reporter requirements
  • Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field
  • Six months to one year of experience in NCAA Division I athletics, professional sports, or facilities and operations office
  • Experience training and leading student workers
  • Experience staging football and basketball events and serving as game day manager
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make timely professional decisions
  • Skills in planning, organizing, and scheduling athletic activities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient with Windows applications including Word, Excel, Access, Publisher, Outlook, and Astra
  • Fiscal responsibility and ability to interpret budgets

Job Duties

  • Coordinate home games and athletic events including facility setup, breakdown, staffing, and game-day operations
  • Serve as event manager for designated sports and assist with NCAA and conference championship events
  • Coordinate with campus departments and external partners to support event logistics, safety, and facility operations
  • Support daily facilities operations including maintenance coordination, access control, credentials, and facility projects
  • Provide administrative and fiscal support including budgeting assistance, purchase orders, contracts, and supervision of student staff and interns
