Job Requirements

- Five years of facilities, ranch, or agricultural maintenance experience
- Experience operating and maintaining farm equipment
- Experience working around large animals
- Valid drivers license

- Experience working around large animals
- Valid drivers license
- Associate's Degree from an accredited institution or technical training in maintenance, construction, or related field preferred
- Knowledge of plumbing, septic systems, and basic electrical systems preferred
- Experience supervising contractors or vendors preferred
Job Duties
- Perform routine, corrective, and preventive maintenance on barns, fencing, arenas, stables, and outbuildings
- Inspect and maintain the septic system, water systems, and related infrastructure
- Operate and maintain farm and grounds equipment, including tractors, skid steers, attachments, and trailers
- Monitor, repair, and maintain lighting, plumbing, and basic electrical systems in barns and auxiliary structures
- Collaborate with contractors, vendors, staff, and faculty to support campus operations
- Recommend improvements related to contracted services and oversee their work (e.g., electrical, plumbing, landscaping)
- Perform seasonal property maintenance such as snow removal, mowing, and drainage management
- Assist in planning and decision-making to ensure the safety, functionality, and appearance of the Montana ranch Facilities and Grounds
- Maintain inventory of tools, parts, and consumables
- ensure all work is logged and documented
- Support safety compliance, inspections, and preventive maintenance planning
- Assist with special events or activities hosted at the facility, including setup and tear-down
- Perform other duties as assigned
