Job Requirements

  • bachelor’s degree in architecture, facility management, production, or related field or equivalent experience
  • minimum five years related work experience
  • strong AutoCAD knowledge and skills
  • proficiency in Microsoft Office software including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and web browsers
  • introductory experience using AutoDesk REVIT and Trimble SketchUp
  • ability to read, analyze, and interpret company policies, budgets, and governmental regulations
  • ability to write reports, correspondence, and manuals
  • ability to present information effectively
  • willingness to work overtime including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • ability to work in office and outdoor environments
  • ability to travel as needed
  • valid driver’s license

Job Qualifications

  • strong organizational, drafting, and spatial design skills
  • experience with AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar software
  • knowledge or interest in live event production including lighting, audio, and staging systems
  • excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • strong attention to detail and multitasking ability
  • willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • adaptability and flexibility
  • ability to analyze construction documents and surveys
  • ability to work on-call and outside normal hours
  • ability to resolve customer service and conflict issues
  • highly organized project management skills
  • excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • functional knowledge of the special event business
  • ability to interpret written, oral, or diagrammatic instructions
  • valid driver’s license

Job Duties

  • assist with event site layouts, drafting, and design for festivals and park events
  • develop conceptual architectural and event design plans using CAD or similar software
  • serve as a liaison between contractors, internal departments, and external event planners
  • coordinate vendor services, rental orders, and deliveries to align with event schedules
  • support on-site setup and teardown operations
  • manage event and facility-related inventory, equipment, and supplies
  • participate in budgeting processes including obtaining vendor quotes and preparing purchase orders
  • contribute to creative capital improvement concepts and design enhancements
  • collaborate with internal teams and external organizers for permitting and logistical coordination
  • document and report repair and maintenance needs
  • support planning and execution of live entertainment including lighting, sound, video, and stage setups
  • act as liaison between production vendors, touring crews, and event management
  • coordinate logistics for event load-ins and load-outs
  • schedule labor calls and communicate with crew leaders and contractors
  • oversee and assist with equipment rentals and production changeovers
  • supervise installation of audio, lighting, and staging systems
  • process invoices and assist with production budget tracking
  • maintain relationships with vendors and staff
  • complete assigned duties in a timely manner
  • assist new employees in understanding event operations
  • maintain a safe and productive work environment
  • implement contingency and recovery plans
  • communicate relevant information promptly
  • strive for improved department management
  • maintain team-oriented attitude and comply with company policies
