Job Requirements
- Fabrication / welding certification
- Minimum 10 years practical experience as a fabricator/welder - mining industry preferred
- Experience in line-boring and machining
- Ability to problem solve
- Ability to communicate ideas clearly and effectively
- Good communication skills
- Flexibility to adapt to improved procedures and practices
- Experience in the practical application of the Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) Act & Regulations
- Be able to pass a background check and post offer physical

Job Duties
- Perform a high standard of fabrication and welding execution, all work completed in a safe and timely manner
- Provide technical advice and support to fellow Maintenance Team members
- Ensure workmanship through meeting standards, tolerances and testing of equipment prior to handover
- Ensure effective communication and handover between crews with regard to maintenance plans and issues
- Identify correct parts and equipment for all planned and unplanned jobs as necessary
- Ensure all tasks and procedures complies with environmental standards
- Continuously review scheduled jobs to identify opportunities for improvement
- Highlight equipment defects and issues effectively utilising the maintenance management process
- Rigorous cost management - avoid rework and the unnecessary use of parts and services
- Ensure all safety related activities are undertaken in accordance with Company policy and MSHA requirements including Hazard ID's, pre-start checks, pre-start meetings, and incident reporting
- Maintain a high standard of housekeeping in all work areas
