- FAA Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic Certificate

- effective verbal and written communication skills with a strong emphasis on customer service in an educational context

- ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team exhibiting exceptional interpersonal skills
- excellent computer skills including proficiency in MS Office applications such as Word Excel Outlook SharePoint and Teams

- associate's degree in related field preferred

Job Duties
- Provide engaging and effective teaching in aircraft maintenance principles while developing curricula that align with industry standards
- create a positive classroom atmosphere that encourages student participation and offers individualized support to enhance student success
- oversee administrative responsibilities, including maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards
- teach classes on a scheduled basis creating an inclusive and welcoming environment that fosters student engagement and enhances learning in aircraft maintenance
- collaborate with program coordinator campus director of education and campus executive director to develop and refine curriculum prepare course materials and schedule classes ensuring alignment with industry standards
- maintain a clean organized and safe classroom and laboratory environment ensuring all tools and equipment are properly maintained for student use
- establish and maintain accurate academic and attendance records for each student submitting attendance grades evaluations and other documentation as required by institutional procedures
- proactively notify the supervisor of any current or potential issues that require immediate attention and implement proven retention techniques to support student success
- complete assigned performance-based teacher education modules participate in classroom observations and instructor evaluations and respond to student feedback to enhance instructional effectiveness
- attend and or lead in-service training sessions faculty meetings and other mandatory gatherings to ensure ongoing professional development and collaboration with peers
- assist in managing the inventory of department equipment and supplies submitting replenishment requests to the supervisor or appropriate personnel as needed
- monitor student attendance closely alerting the supervisor to any absences particularly at the first third and fifth occurrences to address potential retention issues
- complete other tasks and projects as assigned by the supervisor contributing to the overall success of the aircraft maintenance program
