Job Requirements

  • Ability to lift at least 80 pounds
  • Frequent sitting, standing, walking, talking, and hearing during shifts
  • Use of hands to finger, handle, or feel objects or controls
  • Ability to reach with hands and arms
  • Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years food and beverage supervisory or management outlet experience preferably in a hotel of similar size
  • Complete knowledge and strict adherence to state liquor regulations including prohibiting service to minors and intoxicated persons
  • Valid food handling certificate
  • Knowledge of various food service styles including French service, Russian service, tableside flambe, and butler style
  • Ability to compute basic mathematical calculations
  • Familiarity with food and beverage cost controls
  • Certification in alcohol awareness program
  • Computer literate with proficiency in Micros, Microsoft, and SMS systems

Job Duties

  • Supervise and manage all food and beverage outlets with focus on outdoor operations
  • Engage with team members and guests to ensure memorable experiences
  • Conduct daily stand-up meetings addressing uniform and grooming standards
  • Train all incoming staff on Forbes star service standards
  • Perform regular audits to ensure team members meet performance standards
  • Ensure completion of daily opening and closing checklists
  • Assist with beach and pool operational regulations compliance
  • Respond to and resolve guest issues promptly
  • Manage monthly inventory and cost control
  • Enter and maintain weekly schedules in payroll system
  • Stay informed on current food and beverage trends and menu presentations
  • Oversee beverage inventory, purchasing, and checkbook accounting
  • Ensure staff training complies with hotel standards and food handling regulations
  • Promote internal and external customer service excellence
  • Create and distribute weekly staff schedules
  • Evaluate staff performance and conduct disciplinary actions when necessary
  • Participate in weekly management meetings
  • Coordinate with other hotel departments for staffing and event execution
  • Maximize sales through marketing, promotions, and staff up-selling training
  • Handle reservations and special events communication
  • Establish and update par levels for supplies and equipment
  • Lead employee engagement initiatives
  • Ensure safety, sanitation, and cleanliness in outlet areas
  • Offer professional and friendly service acting as a team role model
  • Participate in training and motivation programs for team members
  • Continuously evaluate operations and training needs
  • Follow Forbes standards consistently
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
