Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- minimum 4 years of aircraft maintenance experience
- ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance
- physically able to perform moderate strenuous work including lifting up to 50 pounds and working in confined spaces
- capable of reading and interpreting technical documents
- pass physical and respiratory evaluations for respirator clearance
- able to travel up to 10% of the time
- U.S. citizenship required
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- at least 4 years of aircraft maintenance experience
- able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret level security clearance
- ability to read and interpret schematics, assembly drawings, process specifications, technical manuals, written instructions, test procedures
- capable of performing physically strenuous and repetitious work
- able to pass physical and respiratory evaluations
- fighter type aircraft maintenance experience preferred
- A&P license preferred
- U.S. Navy or USMC background preferred
- active Secret DoD clearance preferred
Job Duties
- perform maintenance operations on F-18 aircraft and components in accordance with DOD and manufacturer directives
- execute complex mechanical duties including power plant, hydraulics, rigging, controls, structures, and surfaces
- conduct pre-flight and post-flight service and inspection
- disassemble, repair, replace, test, rig, service, and reinstall as needed
- operate aircraft power plants and ground support equipment during checks and maintenance
- troubleshoot malfunctions and defects and modify maintenance procedures
- maintain knowledge of certified aircraft and ground support systems such as controls, fuel, hydraulic, pneumatic, electronic, fire control, and armament components
