Job Qualifications

  • Prior coaching or athletic experience preferred
  • Ability to work effectively with students, staff, and the community
  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
  • Ability to model professionalism, integrity, and positive conduct

Job Duties

  • Assist the Head Track Coach in organizing and conducting practices and competitions
  • Help develop athletes' skills, techniques, conditioning, and sportsmanship
  • Supervise student-athletes during practices, meets, travel, and other team activities
  • Assist with event coaching (sprints, distance, field events, relays, etc.), as assigned
  • Reinforce team rules, school policies, and athletic codes of conduct
  • Promote academic responsibility, character development, and positive behavior
  • Assist with equipment inventory, care, and setup
  • Support meet preparation, including lineups, warm-ups, and athlete readiness
  • Communicate effectively with athletes, parents, coaching staff, and administration
  • Ensure safety procedures are followed at all times
  • Attend required meetings, training sessions, and professional development as directed
