Job Duties
- Assist the Head Track Coach in organizing and conducting practices and competitions
- Help develop athletes' skills, techniques, conditioning, and sportsmanship
- Supervise student-athletes during practices, meets, travel, and other team activities
- Assist with event coaching (sprints, distance, field events, relays, etc.), as assigned
- Reinforce team rules, school policies, and athletic codes of conduct
- Promote academic responsibility, character development, and positive behavior
- Assist with equipment inventory, care, and setup
- Support meet preparation, including lineups, warm-ups, and athlete readiness
- Communicate effectively with athletes, parents, coaching staff, and administration
- Ensure safety procedures are followed at all times
- Attend required meetings, training sessions, and professional development as directed
