Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- knowledge of track and field rules and techniques
- ability to work with students, staff, and community
- strong communication and leadership skills
- ability to stand for extended periods
- ability to demonstrate athletic skills and movements
- ability to lift, carry, and set up athletic equipment
- availability for after-school hours, evenings, weekends, and travel as required
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- knowledge of track and field rules, techniques, and training methods
- prior coaching or athletic experience preferred
- ability to work effectively with students, staff, and the community
- strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
- ability to model professionalism, integrity, and positive conduct
Job Duties
- Assist the Head Track Coach in organizing and conducting practices and competitions
- help develop athletes' skills, techniques, conditioning, and sportsmanship
- supervise student-athletes during practices, meets, travel, and other team activities
- assist with event coaching (sprints, distance, field events, relays, etc.), as assigned
- reinforce team rules, school policies, and athletic codes of conduct
- promote academic responsibility, character development, and positive behavior
- assist with equipment inventory, care, and setup
- support meet preparation, including lineups, warm-ups, and athlete readiness
- communicate effectively with athletes, parents, coaching staff, and administration
- ensure safety procedures are followed at all times
- attend required meetings, training sessions, and professional development as directed
