Job Requirements
- must be at least 18 years of age
- authorized to work in the united states
- valid driver’s license required by airport authority
- able to work overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays
- capable of lifting up to 75 pounds
- able to walk, bend, stoop, lift, reach, and push for extended periods
- must secure appropriate airport or customs security badges if applicable
- must pass FAA criminal background check for unescorted airport access
- must wear proper uniform and personal protective equipment
- must adhere to employee handbook and safety regulations
- must demonstrate respectful behavior to employees and passengers
- must have access to reliable transportation
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in aircraft cleaning or maintenance preferred
- ability to follow safety protocols and use personal protective equipment
- strong attention to detail and ability to identify aircraft surface issues
- capable of working in physically demanding conditions
- good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- valid driver’s license and ability to secure necessary security clearances
Job Duties
- perform tasks as assigned by the lead supervisor and outlined in the scope of work
- clean the exterior of aircraft including waxing, buffing, and polishing the surface
- check aircraft for worn or corroded areas and report to lead supervisor
- remove exhaust stains, grease, grime, and dirt with special cleaning compounds
- wash the exterior belly and vertical stabilizer
- clean equipment used and the work area and report repair needs
- service equipment to keep it in good operating condition
