Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field
- Valid driver's license
- Residency in Los Alamos County
- Ability to travel widely within the county
- Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
- Basic computer skills
- Commitment to community engagement and Extension mission
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Home Economics, Family and Consumer Sciences, Nutrition, Health Education, Family and Child Development or related field
- Experience in developing and delivering educational programs
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Effective teaching ability for multiple age groups
- Leadership skills in volunteer recruitment, training, and support
- Basic computer proficiency
- Ability to relate to diverse populations
Job Duties
- Conduct Family & Consumer Science programming for adults and youth in nutrition, family, and health
- Collaborate with County Agricultural Agent to develop and deliver 4-H programming
- Work with community organizations and agencies to support Extension Family & Consumer Science programs
- Support annual County Fair activities
- Recruit, train, and support volunteer adult and youth leaders
- Team with Extension Agents, State Specialists, and District Heads to implement Extension programs
- Travel countywide to provide educational programming
