Job Requirements

  • Applicant must be at least 21 years of age
  • must have 1-2 years of relevant experience in food service operation, preferably Asian cuisine
  • must possess excellent communication skills
  • knowledge of kitchen sanitation and equipment operation is required
  • must be able to work any day of the week and any shift, including holidays and weekends
  • must be able to stand for long periods
  • must tolerate environments with second-hand smoke, high noise, bright lights and dust

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum 1-2 years' previous experience in high volume food service operation/preparation is preferred (Asian cuisine preferred)
  • must have excellent customer service/communication skills
  • must have knowledge of kitchen sanitation, operation and maintenance of kitchen equipment
  • must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time or entire shift
  • must be able to tolerate areas containing second-hand smoke, high noise levels, bright lights and dust

Job Duties

  • Prepares food items as directed, ensuring each order sent out is uniform and consistent
  • prepares food, including hot entrees for Asian dishes, to specification in an accurate and timely manner to provide guests with a quality product
  • controls food production including proper cooking methods, cooking time and temperature
  • ensures sanitation, handling and storage of prepared food and prepares leftovers
  • oversees proper care, storage, use and cleaning of all tools and equipment
  • demonstrates competent product knowledge by correct storing and handling of all perishables, maintaining quality, security, value and integrity
  • effectively communicates with other team members, including service and kitchen maintenance personnel
  • maintains assigned station in a clean and sanitary condition in accordance with department service standards and job functions
