Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Minimum 2 years experience in a fast-paced kitchen
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Must stand and work for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Proficient in sushi preparation and knife skills
  • Food handler or ServSafe certification
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions
  • Availability to work between 8 am and 11 pm
  • Commitment to maintaining cleanliness and organization
  • Must be able to follow directions and ask clarifying questions

Job Qualifications

  • Be 18 years of age
  • Minimum 2 years experience as a line cook in a high-volume, full-service restaurant
  • Culinary degree or relevant certification preferred
  • Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices
  • Experience in high-volume sushi or restaurant environment
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills
  • Leadership abilities
  • Adaptability to menu and customer preference changes
  • Time management skills
  • Attention to detail and presentation
  • Creativity in sushi presentation
  • Dedication to customer experience
  • Willingness to train junior staff
  • Availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays

  • ServSafe or Food Handler certification

Job Duties

  • Prepare sushi and sashimi dishes with precision
  • Utilize expert knife skills for cutting seafood
  • Maintain strict food safety and hygiene standards
  • Work efficiently in a high-volume kitchen environment
  • Collaborate with kitchen team members and communicate effectively
  • Develop and innovate new sushi menu items
  • Mentor and train junior kitchen staff
