Job Duties

  • Greet guests warmly and escort them to their tables
  • present menus and provide detailed explanations of menu items including specials, ingredients, and preparation methods
  • assist guests in selecting food and beverages by making knowledgeable recommendations based on preferences and dietary restrictions
  • take accurate food and drink orders using POS systems and communicate with kitchen and bar staff
  • ensure special requests or modifications to orders are communicated and accommodated
  • serve food and beverages promptly and accurately with proper presentation and quality standards
  • monitor tables to anticipate guest needs such as refilling drinks and clearing plates
  • prepare and serve specialty drinks or cocktails if required
  • answer guest inquiries about menu items and restaurant services
  • upsell menu items to enhance the dining experience and increase revenue
  • handle guest complaints professionally and escalate as necessary
  • process guest payments including cash and credit transactions using POS systems
  • collaborate with kitchen and bar staff for smooth service coordination
  • maintain a clean and organized dining area including setting tables and arranging utensils
  • follow health and safety regulations and food sanitation practices
