Job Duties
- Greet guests warmly and escort them to their tables
- present menus and provide detailed explanations of menu items including specials, ingredients, and preparation methods
- assist guests in selecting food and beverages by making knowledgeable recommendations based on preferences and dietary restrictions
- take accurate food and drink orders using POS systems and communicate with kitchen and bar staff
- ensure special requests or modifications to orders are communicated and accommodated
- serve food and beverages promptly and accurately with proper presentation and quality standards
- monitor tables to anticipate guest needs such as refilling drinks and clearing plates
- prepare and serve specialty drinks or cocktails if required
- answer guest inquiries about menu items and restaurant services
- upsell menu items to enhance the dining experience and increase revenue
- handle guest complaints professionally and escalate as necessary
- process guest payments including cash and credit transactions using POS systems
- collaborate with kitchen and bar staff for smooth service coordination
- maintain a clean and organized dining area including setting tables and arranging utensils
- follow health and safety regulations and food sanitation practices
