Job Requirements

  • Must be able to stand walk bend crouch kneel and reach for long periods
  • must be able to lift carry push and pull up to 40 lbs
  • must be able to safely operate kitchen equipment and tools

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a prep cook in a high-volume environment
  • basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment
  • must be available to work weekends and holidays
  • excellent communication and teamwork skills

Job Duties

  • Assist with the preparation of ingredients for cooking including chopping slicing dicing and marinating following recipes and portion guidelines
  • follow established portion control procedures to minimize food waste
  • organize and stock ingredients and supplies to ensure smooth workflow during meal service
  • notify the chef or manager of any shortages or discrepancies
  • maintain a high degree of cleanliness and sanitation in all kitchen areas including equipment countertops and storage following food safety regulations
  • follow proper food handling procedures to minimize waste and ensure food quality and freshness
  • assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels rotating ingredients labeling prep items receiving supplies and notifying chef or manager of shortages or discrepancies
  • follow all safety procedures
  • collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate timing and workflow
  • assist with opening and closing procedures
  • assist with dishwashing duties as needed
  • perform other duties as assigned
