Job Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of pastry experience in a professional kitchen
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
- Physically able to lift, reach, bend, stoop and stand for long periods
- Availability for morning and full-time shifts preferred
- Willingness to maintain cleanliness and adhere to sanitation standards
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of pastry experience in a professional table service kitchen
- Culinary school training is an asset
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with kitchen team members and Pastry Chef or Chef de Cuisine
- Physically able to lift, reach, bend, stoop and stand for up to 10 hours
- Morning and full-time availability preferred
Job Duties
- Execute all prep assignments quickly, efficiently, safely and according to TBB 122 standards and specifications
- Maintain a clean and sanitary workstation including tables, shelves, walls, storage areas, cooking and refrigeration equipment
- Understand and consistently comply with standards regarding portion size, cooking methods and kitchen rules
- Work as a team with other positions on the line to execute guest orders accurately and timely
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Pastry Chef or Chef de Cuisine
- Adhere to proper sanitation standards
- Ensure all guests feel welcome and receive responsive, friendly and courteous service
- Maintain a professional and positive attitude when on the line and visible to guests
- Be available to fill in as needed for smooth kitchen operation
- Clock in and out accurately according to schedule
- Minimize waste by preparing food items accurately and following recipes
- Carry, stack, store and clean plates, glassware and utensils properly
- Maintain clean workplace and promptly address spills
- Work as a team with back of house staff and assist others
- Contribute to a positive and productive work environment
- Demonstrate respect and courtesy toward front of house, back of house and managers
