Job Requirements

  • Food handler certification
  • Minimum 1-2 years line cook experience
  • Basic to experienced knife skills
  • Ability to work sauté, grill and garde manger stations
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Ability to stand for 8 plus hours per day
  • Must be 18 plus years or older
  • Flexible scheduling including early mornings, weekends, and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Food handler certification

  • Prior experience in a luxury hotel dining restaurant preferred but not required
  • Display basic to experienced knife skills
  • Must be able to work sauté, grill and garde manger stations
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Must be able to stand for 8 plus hours per day and be exposed to outdoor elements at times
  • Must be 18 plus years or older
  • Flexible scheduling to include early mornings, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties

  • Support restaurant chef and sous chef and supervisor
  • Assist in training staff
  • Control quality and consistency of all food served
  • Ensure station is set for service 15 minutes prior to service
  • Ensure all food supplies necessary for service are in appropriate supply on a timely basis
  • Assist in controlling food costs
  • Required to learn all menu items produced by assigned station
  • Refrigeration and serving of cold food
  • Help to make sure of product availability for all outlets items
  • Directs proper sanitation of all kitchen facilities and equipment
  • Keep kitchen clean and organize every day by any business
  • Follow Ecosure rules and procedures
  • Be hands-on control over daily food production
  • Monitors safety in the kitchen
  • Knows hotel and kitchen expectations and the proper guidelines
  • Help to check quality and consistency
