- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior experience in bartending or hospitality preferred
- ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
- knowledge of state and local liquor laws
- strong interpersonal skills
- ability to stand for extended periods
- good physical health

- strong organizational skills

Job Duties
- Ensure security and confidentiality of guest and hotel information
- suggestively sell menu items, beverages, and wines
- work without direct supervision
- promote specials and maintain complete knowledge of liquor brands, beers, non-alcoholic selections, wines/champagnes, designated glassware and garnish for drinks, bar menu items preparation, bar layouts and seating, service procedures, equipment use, department policies, daily specials, hotel services and local attractions
- maintain strict adherence to state liquor regulations
- monitor problems with intoxicated guests and report to the manager
- check storage area for proper supplies, organization, and cleanliness
- check quality and amounts of garnishes
- ensure bar setups meet cleanliness and departmental standards
- ensure bar environment compliance with cleanliness and order
- adhere to grooming and attire policies
- ensure the bar is properly stocked before shifts
- anticipate guests needs and respond promptly
- monitor guest complaints and notify management
