Job Requirements

  • Must be able to stand for at least 8 hours and be able to lift up, push, and pull at least 35 pounds
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
  • Minimum of one year experience in the foodservice or hospitality industry

  • Prior experience in a luxury setting
  • One year experience working in an expeditor role
  • Great communication skills
  • Confidence and ability to perform under pressure

Job Duties

  • Ensure communication in the kitchen by calling out orders, getting the status on dishes, and calling the waitstaff to serve completed dishes
  • Inform the waitstaff when certain dishes or ingredients have run out and pass food requests from the waitstaff to the kitchen
  • Monitor the food portions on completed dishes according to restaurant standards
  • Ensure that all orders are completed in time and with the correct priority
  • Inspect the cleanliness, presentation, and temperature of completed dishes
  • Perform the finishing touches to completed dishes, such as adding garnishes and removing smudges
  • Keep the expediting area clean, neat, and well-stocked
  • Ensure all staff adheres to health and safety standards
