Job Requirements
- High school diploma or its equivalency
- 3-5 years of related work experience in event management or project management
- Ability to effectively plan and schedule events such as trade shows and conventions
- Understanding construction impacts on event and venue operations
- Organized and detail oriented
- Strong critical thinking and creative problem-solving abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Superior interpersonal skillset
- Ability to coordinate and schedule multiple timelines
- Physical capability to remain on event floor for extended periods
- Ability to multitask in stressful, fluid situations
- Knowledge of building, city, and fire codes related to event management
- Reliable transportation
- Available for variable work schedule including late hours, early mornings, extended hours, holidays, and weekends
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalency
- Bachelor of arts or sciences degree preferred
- 3-5 years of related experience in event management or project management
- Ability to plan and schedule trade shows, conventions, and events
- Understanding of construction impacts on event and venue operations
- Extremely organized and detail oriented
- Strong critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Superior interpersonal skills for broad stakeholder interaction
- Ability to coordinate and schedule multiple timelines simultaneously
- Physical capability to remain on event floor for long periods
- Ability to multitask in high-pressure, fluid environments
- Knowledge of building policies, city codes, and fire codes related to event management
- Reliable transportation
- Willingness to work variable hours including nights, early mornings, weekends, and holidays
Job Duties
- Communicate status and updates on the LACC expansion project to clients
- Manage client expectations and identify solutions to mitigate construction impacts
- Serve as the main point-of-contact for construction-related topics during events
- Attend coordination meetings and walkthroughs with the construction team
- Review LACC master calendar to manage upcoming event needs proactively
- Maintain design maps, project timeline, marketing assets, and other project resources
- Complete special projects and other duties as assigned
