Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university
  • Four years related experience and/or training in the public assembly industry in a supervisory or management position
  • Self-motivated with excellent interpersonal and communications skills
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize within time constraints
  • Ability to work effectively in a service-oriented environment subject to changing priorities
  • Ability to respond calmly and make rational decisions when handling conflicts
  • Knowledge of operational procedures, facility capabilities, industry terminology, and event-related services
  • Thorough understanding of electrical, mechanical, HVAC and other facility systems
  • Ability to read and comprehend blueprints and related materials
  • Ability to operate a personal computer with MS-DOS, CAD, Windows, Word, Excel, Momentous, BlueBeam and other standard office equipment
  • Licensed and insured to operate a motor vehicle in the United States
  • Ability to work irregular hours including nights, weekends and holidays
  • Self-motivated and able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines
  • Must remain flexible and adjust to situations as they occur

Job Qualifications

  • Four years of related experience and/or training in the public assembly industry in a supervisory or management position
  • Self-motivated with excellent interpersonal and communications skills
  • Ability to function and make decisions in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment

  • Ability to work effectively in a service-oriented environment with changing priorities

  • Thorough knowledge of operational procedures, facility capabilities, industry terminology, and event-related services
  • Understanding of facility electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and other systems
  • Ability to read and comprehend blueprints, drawings, and related materials
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, CAD, Momentous, BlueBeam, and Windows
  • Licensed and insured to operate a motor vehicle in the United States
  • Ability to work irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties

  • Plan, coordinate and supervise the logistics of executing exhibitor service orders
  • Coordinate with Director of Event Service and Event Managers in customizing Exhibitor Kits
  • Process exhibitor service orders and provide show support while operating the Exhibitor Services Desk during events
  • Process credit card orders and record all money received for exhibitor services pre, present, post events
  • Process, distribute, and track all exhibitor services orders
  • Process exhibitor service collections following show floor electrical audits
  • Work closely with Event Managers to coordinate exhibitor/client customer service relations
  • Assist event staff with coverage while serving as Facility Manager on Duty as required
  • Work flexible and irregular hours including early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Conduct room setup specification checklists
  • Administer events ensuring facility management policies and procedures are upheld
  • Participate in event preview/reviews and staff meetings
  • Receive and resolve client and guest challenges and complaints during events
  • Research and resolve customer service issues before, during, and after events
  • Maintain positive working relationships with internal and external partners
  • Ensure timely and accurate event information delivery to finance for settlement and invoicing
  • Exercise discretion and independent decision-making to best represent the facility
  • Interact professionally with all facility staff and provide excellent customer service
  • Perform other duties as assigned
