Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum 5 years U.S. Navy or DOD experience
  • At least 3 years experience in INDOPACOM AOR
  • Two or more years as Navy or Joint Exercise Planner
  • Experience with JELC, JTIMS entries, and METL development
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications
  • Ability to interface with various levels of employees and management
  • Active Top-Secret clearance
  • U.S. citizenship to obtain clearance

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum 5 years U.S. Navy experience or 5 years DOD experience
  • At least 3 years experience in the INDOPACOM area of responsibility
  • Two or more years experience as a Navy or Joint Exercise Planner
  • Experience with JELC including JTIMS entries and METL development
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications
  • Ability to interface effectively with various levels of employees and management
  • Active Top-Secret clearance with TS/SCI eligibility
  • Familiarity with U.S. Navy and joint logistics concepts preferred
  • Master's degree or military command and staff college graduation preferred

Job Duties

  • Track and inform COMPACFLT N37 Director on all aspects of exercise program management including deficiencies that impact training goals
  • Support planning, liaison, management, execution, and documentation of fleet and joint exercises
  • Develop or review exercise plans, objectives, concepts, METLs, training synchronization, and support document validations
  • Provide recommendations and manage the Joint Exercise Life Cycle (JELC) through exercise execution
  • Support exercise planning conferences and execution including logistics, communications, cost estimation, and coordination
  • Provide operational management support of JTIMS, COMPACFLT JMETL training, and exercise lessons learned programs
  • Maintain the N37 Fleet Exercise SIPRNET webpage and related communications
  • Liaison with outside agencies on exercise data and intelligence
  • Assist with planning and execution of joint and fleet exercises including briefing and message development
  • Support Fleet Exercise Officers with exercise-related funding review and prioritization
  • Provide administrative support to Exercise STRATLIFT Program Coordinator
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Travel approximately 30% annually for conferences, planning sessions, and exercises
