Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in exercise planning
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance
  • Familiarity with operational logistics
  • Strong communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Ability to analyze and prioritize
  • Proven teamwork and leadership

Job Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI security clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience planning Major Command-level or equivalent exercises
  • Familiarity with operational and logistical support for exercises, deployments, and mobilizations
  • Working knowledge of force structure, country locations, and assigned assets
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with timely responsiveness within 12 business hours
  • Proven leadership and teamwork in cross-functional environments
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and ability to learn new planning tools
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to manage competing priorities in fast-paced settings

Job Duties

  • Plan, organize, and manage exercises throughout the Joint Exercise Life Cycle including concept development, execution, and after-action review
  • Develop exercise objectives, coordinate logistics for planning meetings, conferences, and events, and manage associated documentation
  • Estimate costs and manage funding within assigned budgets
  • Engage with service components, partner nations, and other agencies to ensure cohesive, effective execution
  • Provide direction, assistance, and training to exercise participants and planners
  • Analyze planning effectiveness and outcomes as part of after-action reporting and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Identify and resolve issues across the exercise lifecycle
  • develop and brief Courses of Action as needed
  • Maintain understanding of inter-country customs and courtesies relevant to exercise participation
  • Account for current and projected roles, responsibilities, and capabilities when developing exercise designs
  • Coordinate with DoD, Combatant Commands, Services, and Intelligence Agencies as required
  • Utilize Microsoft Office and emerging planning tools
  • demonstrate baseline familiarity with AI/ML/LLM applications
