Job Requirements

  • At least 5+ years of culinary management experience
  • At least 2 years as executive sushi chef in an upscale or fine dining establishment
  • Knowledge of back-of-the-house operations including staff supervision, inventory controls, and food/labor cost management
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Stable and progressive work history
  • Ability to work in person full-time

Job Duties

  • Lead and manage the sushi kitchen team, providing guidance, training, and mentorship to maintain top-tier culinary standards
  • Develop innovative sushi menus that align with the restaurant's high-end brand and meet guest expectations
  • Oversee food preparation, cooking, and plating processes to ensure consistency, presentation excellence, and adherence to food safety regulations
  • Maintain meticulous control over ingredient quality, freshness, and inventory levels for all sushi and Japanese cuisine components
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards across all kitchen operations, including proper food handling and sanitation practices
  • Collaborate with front-of-house staff to coordinate service flow and ensure timely delivery of dishes to guests
  • Implement efficient kitchen workflows to optimize productivity while maintaining exceptional quality standards
