Job Requirements

  • Five years of stewarding operations in a leadership role experience preferred
  • Knowledge of stewarding service techniques and cost controls such as labor, productivity, and other expenses
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new operating systems and technology
  • Willingness and ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
  • Luxury hotel experience is a plus

Job Duties

  • Serve as a key member of the stewarding team
  • Manage the resort's kitchens and heart of house areas ensuring cleanliness and sanitation
  • Supervise stewarding associates including recruiting, interviewing, and training
  • Create and distribute weekly schedules for all stewarding associates
  • Manage inventory and storage of food and beverage equipment
  • Communicate daily with executive chefs and banquet managers regarding daily activities
  • Order supplies and maintain proper inventory levels
  • Ensure all ware washing equipment is operational
  • Maintain cleanliness in all heart of house areas including kitchens and walk-ins
  • Deliver food for banquet events and break down stations
  • Drive and maintain kitchen recycling programs
  • Assist executive chef with special projects
  • Monitor and enforce resort policies and procedures
  • Review daily payroll reports and maintain labor costs within budget
  • Lead departmental meetings to communicate effectively with associates
  • Deliver on guests' expectations and create WOW moments
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
