Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum five years of stewarding leadership experience preferred
  • knowledge of stewarding service techniques and cost control measures
  • excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • willingness to work flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
  • ability to adapt to new operating systems and technology
  • ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds regularly
  • ability to push and pull carts up to 200 pounds
  • capacity to stand and be mobile for extended periods during shifts

Job Qualifications

  • five years of stewarding operations leadership experience preferred
  • knowledge of stewarding service techniques and cost controls such as labor and productivity
  • excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • ability to embrace and adapt to new technologies
  • experience in luxury hotel environment is a plus
  • strong leadership and team management capabilities
  • passion for exceptional service and creating memorable moments

Job Duties

  • serve as a key member of the stewarding team
  • manage the facility's kitchen ensuring cleanliness and sanitation
  • supervise stewarding associates including recruitment, interviewing, and training
  • create and distribute weekly schedules for stewarding associates
  • manage inventory and storage of food and beverage equipment
  • communicate daily with executive chef and other managers to coordinate activities
  • order supplies and maintain proper inventory levels
  • ensure all ware washing equipment is operational
  • maintain cleanliness in all back-of-house areas including kitchens and walk-ins
  • deliver food for banquet events and breakdown stations post-events
  • drive and maintain kitchen recycling program
  • assist executive chef with special projects and initiatives
  • monitor and enforce hotel policies and procedures
  • review payroll reports and maintain labor costs within budget
  • lead departmental meetings
  • deliver exceptional guest experiences
  • perform additional duties as assigned based on business needs
