Job Qualifications

  • Five years of stewarding operations leadership experience preferred
  • knowledge of stewarding service techniques and cost controls
  • excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • proficiency with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • ability to embrace and adapt to new technology
  • ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
  • experience in luxury hotels a plus

Job Duties

  • Serve as a key member of the stewarding team
  • responsible for managing kitchen cleanliness and sanitation
  • supervise stewarding associates
  • recruit, interview, and train associates
  • create and distribute weekly schedules
  • manage food and beverage equipment inventory and storage
  • communicate daily with Executive Chef and managers regarding activities
  • order supplies and maintain inventory levels
  • ensure ware washing equipment is operational
  • maintain cleanliness in back of house areas
  • deliver food for banquet events and break down stations
  • drive and maintain kitchen recycling program
  • assist Executive Chef with special projects
  • monitor and enforce hotel policies and procedures
  • review daily payroll and maintain labor costs
  • lead departmental meetings
  • deliver on guests' expectations
  • perform additional duties as assigned
