Job Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a stewarding management role in a luxury/lifestyle hotel
- proven leadership abilities with experience managing large stewarding teams
- strong knowledge of sanitation standards and local safety regulations
- excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
- ability to work in a fast-paced, high volume environment
- flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays
Job Duties
- Direct and manage the stewarding team to ensure the cleanliness and sanitation of all kitchen equipment, utensils, and food preparation areas
- develop and implement SOPs in line with Delano Miami Beach standards and health regulations
- coordinate with culinary and F&B teams to ensure timely availability of clean wares and equipment for all services and events
- monitor and manage inventory of cleaning supplies, chemicals, and kitchen equipment, ensuring proper storage and usage
- maintain and operate dishwashing machines and other equipment, ensuring regular maintenance and minimal downtime
- oversee waste management and recycling programs in coordination with sustainability goals
- train and mentor stewarding staff on proper cleaning procedures, safety standards, and efficient workflow
- schedule staffing levels appropriately to meet the needs of the operations and special functions
