- minimum of 3-5 years as a sous chef
- high school diploma or equivalent required
- college degree preferred
- culinary school graduate preferred
- health and sanitation card as per state requirements
- foodservice management certification as per state requirements

Job Duties
- executing the creation of menus and meal planning/production based on forecasted guest counts
- determining budgetary requirements and controlling expenses related to food supplies, kitchen equipment and materials
- analyzing food and labor production reports and menu engineering for supervision and control of expenses
- procuring food supplies and kitchen equipment, organizing inventories and participating in inventory counts
- analyzing the workplace and implementing safety policies, resolving all safe workplace issues
- interviewing, selecting, and hiring employees
- recommending training, promotion, and advancement opportunities for employees
- planning, scheduling, and adjusting employee work hours and responsibilities
- handling and resolving employee complaints and issues
- implementing and supervising company policies including discipline and substance abuse
- directing the work of multiple part-time employees or equivalents
- ensuring cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen and work areas
- addressing guest complaints promptly and professionally
- interacting with guests and accommodating last-minute requests
- performing additional duties as needed due to operational demands
- adhering to company standards, policies, and procedures
- multitasking efficiently to meet business needs
- maintaining safe working habits and conduct while ensuring others do the same
- attending daily line-ups and participating as requested
