The Hotel del Coronado, A Curio Collection by Hilton, is a historic and iconic resort located on Coronado Island just minutes from downtown San Diego. Established in 1888, this wooden Victorian beach resort is one of the last of its kind in the world. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years of culinary experience, including banquet operations
  • Experience managing multiple food outlets
  • Ability to lead and mentor a team
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Proven banquet experience
  • Strong background in recipe development and menu research and development
  • Experience leading and managing culinary teams
  • Ability to maintain high food quality and safety standards
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations
  • Culinary degree or relevant professional certification preferred

Job Duties

  • Assist the Executive Chef in directing all culinary operations
  • Oversee preparation and production of all hotel meals
  • Ensure food quality and presentation meet standards
  • Comply with safety, sanitation, and alcohol awareness regulations
  • Monitor and develop team member performance
  • Conduct training, scheduling, and evaluations
  • Interact with guests to assess and improve satisfaction
