Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts or related field preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of culinary leadership experience
  • Experience in hotel culinary operations and banquets
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal health and safety regulations
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to promote teamwork and staff development

Job Duties

  • Assist the Executive Chef in the direction and oversight of all culinary operations including preparation and production of all hotel meals
  • Ensure food quality and presentation standards are met
  • Monitor and enforce compliance with all safety and sanitation standards and regulations
  • Oversee team member productivity and performance including supervision, training, scheduling, and work assignments
  • Implement policies and procedures related to culinary operations
  • Manage cost controls and overall profitability
  • Interact with guests and clients to monitor satisfaction and make improvements
  • Assist in creating and implementing menu selections for special banquet themes and events
