Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in culinary operations
  • Previous experience in luxury hotel or upscale dining establishments
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends, holidays and varied shifts
  • Knowledge of health and safety standards
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Ability to lead and motivate a culinary team

Job Qualifications

  • Proven culinary experience including supervisory or management roles in a luxury hotel or fine dining environment
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
  • Familiarity with menu planning and banquet operations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work various shifts including weekends and holidays
  • Culinary degree or relevant certification preferred

Job Duties

  • Assist the executive chef in the direction and oversight of all culinary operations including meal preparation and production, food quality and presentation, compliance with safety and sanitation standards, team member productivity and performance, policy implementation, cost controls and profitability
  • Assist the executive chef by interacting with guests and clients to monitor and assess satisfaction trends, evaluate issues and make improvements
  • Assist in creating and implementing menu selections for special banquet themes and events based on food trends and regional tastes
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, local and company health, safety, sanitation and alcohol awareness standards
  • Monitor and develop team member performance including supervision, counseling, evaluations, training, scheduling, work assignment and delivering recognition and rewards
