Job Requirements

  • Two to four-year college degree or equivalent education or experience
  • minimum five years sales or culinary related experience
  • strong knowledge of culinary principles and kitchen operations
  • ability to manage and lead kitchen staff
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to manage budgets and control costs
  • knowledge of safety, sanitation, and legal regulations in food service
  • ability to perform managerial duties and shifts
  • strong organizational and analytical abilities

Job Qualifications

  • Two to four-year college degree or equivalent education and experience
  • minimum of five years experience in a related culinary or sales position
  • advanced knowledge of culinary principles and practices
  • effective oral, written, and presentation skills
  • ability to perform critical analysis and manage complex information
  • strong delegation and manpower management skills
  • excellent communication abilities for engaging staff and guests
  • ability to organize projects and prioritize aligned with hotel objectives

Job Duties

  • Manage human resources objectives including hiring, training, and performance reviews
  • plan menus by consulting with chefs and adjust based on cost and profit estimates
  • develop and manage department budgets to control labor and food costs
  • maintain a safe and sanitary work environment following all regulatory standards
  • supervise maintenance of kitchen equipment and facilities
  • manage daily food production and presentation to ensure consistent quality
  • monitor and analyze labor and food cost reports to meet budget goals
  • promote accident prevention programs
  • perform manager-on-duty functions as assigned
