Job Requirements

  • Must have high school diploma or GED
  • Culinary certificate or degree preferred
  • Seven to ten years of experience in a professional fast-paced kitchen or restaurant
  • Must have strong communication skills in English both written and oral
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to maintain effective relationships with management and staff
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to motivate teams
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet multiple deadlines
  • Must have strong critical thinking, analytical and guest service skills
  • Must possess a positive attitude with strong organizational and leadership qualities
  • Must be able to perform basic math calculations
  • Ability to understand complex instructions and materials
  • Must be able to establish and maintain professional and cultural relationships
  • Ability to work effectively in teams with empathy and enthusiasm

  • Must follow and comply with casino guest service programs
  • Must be able to stand, sit, walk, push, pull, bend for extended periods
  • Must be able to lift and move up to 30 pounds frequently
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in person or via telecommunications
  • Must have hand-eye coordination for keyboard, touch-screen, telephone and calculator
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain KTTT Gaming Commission License
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must have access to reliable transportation
  • Must comply with KLEC policies and procedures and gaming regulations

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Ensure compliance with applicable tribal, federal and gaming regulations and policies
  • Ensure the highest possible standards of guest services by responding to guest and team member concerns
  • Ensure all food products meet established specifications and proper levels are prepared based on forecasted needs
  • Assign tasks effectively for efficient labor use ensuring maximum results and timely daily production
  • Responsible for complete setup of assigned food outlets
  • Inspect each outlet for readiness and timely opening
  • Ensure production, cleaning, time and temperature schedules are followed during shifts
  • Complete required daily reports, identify issues and offer solutions
  • Relay guest and staff complaints and report health and safety concerns
  • Communicate variances from standards to kitchen team and maintain awareness of shift changes
  • Maintain a sanitary, clean, organized, safe, and comfortable environment
  • Review and make changes to menu items as necessary
  • Ensure kitchen equipment is clean, functioning, safely handled, and report repair needs
  • Create recipe cards and train cooks on their use
  • Prepare dishes for special events
  • Create menus for Steakhouse with features to attract guests
  • Ensure food items are appealing, tasty, and creative
  • Assist Executive Chef with budgeting, staffing, menu, training, and equipment recommendations
  • Demonstrate and promote core values and skills
  • Manage and maintain security of confidential information
  • Attend and complete required training
  • Monitor compliance with currency transaction and anti-money laundering policies
  • Perform other duties as assigned
