Job Requirements
- experience working in a high-volume or upscale kitchen leadership role
- ability to make strong decisions and solve problems
- extensive knowledge of kitchen operations and equipment
- knowledge of purchasing and inventory control
- understanding of food safety and regulatory requirements
- culinary creativity and broad food knowledge
- availability to work full-time
- willingness to work in person at the kitchen location
Job Qualifications
- solid experience in a high-volume or upscale kitchen leadership role
- strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities
- advanced knowledge of kitchen operations, equipment, purchasing, and inventory control
- familiarity with food safety and regulatory guidelines
- culinary creativity and broad food knowledge
- culinary degree preferred but not required
- sushi skills are a nice bonus
Job Duties
- oversee daily kitchen operations and support the executive chef
- lead, mentor, and develop a diverse culinary team
- maintain quality, consistency, and strong production standards
- manage purchasing, inventory, and equipment upkeep
- monitor costs, support budgeting, and understand p and l performance
- ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements
- collaborate on menu development and seasonal offerings
- uphold a clean, organized, and well-run kitchen environment
