Job Requirements

  • experience working in a high-volume or upscale kitchen leadership role
  • ability to make strong decisions and solve problems
  • extensive knowledge of kitchen operations and equipment
  • knowledge of purchasing and inventory control
  • understanding of food safety and regulatory requirements
  • culinary creativity and broad food knowledge
  • availability to work full-time
  • willingness to work in person at the kitchen location

Job Qualifications

  • solid experience in a high-volume or upscale kitchen leadership role
  • strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities
  • advanced knowledge of kitchen operations, equipment, purchasing, and inventory control
  • familiarity with food safety and regulatory guidelines
  • culinary creativity and broad food knowledge
  • culinary degree preferred but not required
  • sushi skills are a nice bonus

Job Duties

  • oversee daily kitchen operations and support the executive chef
  • lead, mentor, and develop a diverse culinary team
  • maintain quality, consistency, and strong production standards
  • manage purchasing, inventory, and equipment upkeep
  • monitor costs, support budgeting, and understand p and l performance
  • ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements
  • collaborate on menu development and seasonal offerings
  • uphold a clean, organized, and well-run kitchen environment
