Job Requirements

  • current state health and sanitation certification
  • knowledge of ordering procedures and food and labor cost controls
  • strong process orientation and professionalism
  • effective communication and team-building skills
  • high school diploma or GED preferred
  • prior experience using POS systems
  • compliance with Florida’s Care Provider Background Screening process
  • valid and current driver’s license where applicable
  • current CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to become certified

Job Qualifications

  • minimum 5 years experience in high-end restaurant, club, hotel or senior living kitchen supervision
  • excellent training skills
  • experience in advanced cooking techniques including garde manger, baking and sauces
  • prior experience using point of sale (POS) systems preferred
  • high school diploma or GED preferred
  • culinary arts degree a plus
  • current state health and sanitation certification required
  • valid driver’s license where applicable
  • current CPR and First Aid certifications or willingness to obtain

Job Duties

  • assist executive chef in all areas of the kitchen
  • supervise line cooks and kitchen attendants
  • ensure superior food quality and presentation
  • oversee food preparation including garde manger, baking, and sauces
  • maintain kitchen sanitation and safety standards
  • manage ordering procedures for produce, dairy, meat, and fish
  • control food and labor costs
