Job Duties

  • Interview, hire, evaluate, reward, and coach kitchen personnel
  • develop culinary training programs and promote quality food services
  • train kitchen staff in equipment safety and food production principles
  • direct and coordinate production and dish room staff
  • maintain communications with Food and Catering Operations teams
  • uphold positive working relationship with client staff
  • manage employees according to labor laws
  • maintain clean, safe, and organized work environment
  • perform steps of SSA EXTRA Guest Service
  • supervise period end inventory
  • participate in food preparation and menu display
  • monitor cooking and holding temperatures
  • ensure consistency and quality
  • assist Executive Chef in menu planning, recipe design, and pricing
  • inspect quality of food preparation and service areas
  • implement and enforce sanitary practices
  • comply with food safety regulations
  • process vendor invoices
  • manage culinary operations
  • assist in controlling food costs
  • implement efficient systems and processes
  • prepare operational reports and analyses
  • analyze sales and inventory
  • manage payroll and controllable profit
  • support scheduling staff levels
  • promote sustainable and inclusive practices
  • support community and company guidelines
  • perform other necessary tasks
